AFRINIC

The African Network Information Centre (AFRINIC) serves as the Regional Internet Registry for Africa and the Indian Ocean region, dedicated to the management and distribution of IPv4 and IPv6 address space, as well as Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs). As a nonprofit, member-based organization registered in Mauritius, AFRINIC plays a pivotal role in supporting the development of internet technology across Africa. Their mission focuses on efficient service delivery within a global multi-stakeholder environment, promoting internet self-governance through a collaborative Policy Development Process.

AFRINIC offers a range of services including Internet Number Resources management, routing security, and resource certification programs like RPKI. They also provide extensive training workshops and support services to assist network operators in building a resilient internet infrastructure.
