AFSC

The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization dedicated to fostering a just, peaceful, and sustainable world. Established in 1917, AFSC partners with individuals and communities across 18 countries to confront violence, inequality, and oppression. Their mission is rooted in the belief of the inherent worth of every individual, advocating for systemic change through three strategic goals: creating just and sustainable peace, promoting equitable economies, and responding compassionately to migration issues.

AFSC actively engages in social movements and grassroots activism, with notable achievements including the mobilization of 37,000 young activists globally and the sending of over 237,000 advocacy letters to public officials in 2021.
