**Metro 9 - Mumbai's Expanding Connectivity**

Metro 9 is a vital addition to Mumbai's public transportation network, designed to enhance connectivity between Dahisar and Bhayander. As construction progresses rapidly, MMRA has announced that approximately 87% of the project is already completed. This ambitious metro line, spanning 10.41 kilometers, will feature eight elevated stations, significantly improving transit options for daily commuters. Key stations include Dahisar, Pandurangwadi, Mira-Gav, Kashigaon, and Subhash Chandra Bose Maidan.

Slated to commence operations in phases, the first segment from Dahisar to Kashigaon is expected to open by December 2024, followed by the extension to Subhash Chandra Bose Maidan in December 2025. To further mitigate traffic issues in the area, three flyovers will be constructed, with support structures already underway. With the introduction of Metro 9, the city aims to alleviate congestion and provide a more efficient, eco-friendly commuting alternative for residents and visitors alike.
