FZI Research Center for Information Technology

The FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik is a prominent non-profit research institution based in Karlsruhe, Germany, dedicated to applied computer science and technology transfer. With over three decades of experience, the center specializes in developing practical solutions that bridge academic research and industry needs. Recently, the FZI secured a significant funding boost of €405,000 from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg to establish a state-of-the-art Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) workshop. This facility enhances prototype development in service robotics and autonomous systems, featuring advanced machinery that allows for high-precision manufacturing directly from CAD designs.

FZI’s interdisciplinary research teams work closely with businesses, creating innovative concepts, software, hardware, and system solutions.
