NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, stands as the largest grassroots mental health organization in the United States, dedicated to improving the lives of millions impacted by mental illness. Founded in 1979 by a group of families, NAMI has evolved into a powerful alliance of over 600 local affiliates, actively working within communities to enhance awareness, provide education, and support individuals and families.
