U.S. Indo-Pacific Command

The United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) serves as a vital component of the U.S. military, overseeing an extensive area of responsibility that spans approximately half of the Earth's surface, from the U.S. West Coast to India and Antarctica to the North Pole. Headquartered in Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii, USINDOPACOM is one of six Unified Combatant Commands, tasked with promoting security and stability within the strategically significant Asia-Pacific region. This diverse command encompasses 38 nations, representing over 50% of the global population and significant military and economic forces.

USINDOPACOM integrates operations across multiple components including the U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. Pacific Air Forces, U.S. Army Pacific, and U.S. Marine Forces, Pacific, totaling approximately 375,000 military and civilian personnel. Its mission focuses on deterring aggression, enhancing U.S. alliances, and ensuring the safety and readiness of U.S. interests through a commitment to cooperative security and military readiness.
