The Online RTI Information Systems, an initiative by the Government of India, provides a streamlined platform for Indian citizens to manage their Right to Information (RTI) requests and appeals. With its RTI-MIS (Management Information System), users can easily submit requests and first appeals under the Right to Information Act of 2005. The portal is designed to facilitate online submissions specifically for Central Government ministries and public authorities, ensuring a hassle-free process.

Users can make secure payments through a variety of methods, including internet banking, credit and debit cards, and UPI. The portal features services such as submitting RTI requests, filing appeals, and checking the status of applications. It operates with a user-friendly interface available in multiple languages, providing comprehensive support via a Help Desk during business hours. Notably, applications for State Government authorities are not processed on this portal. The system is continually developed and maintained by the National Informatics Centre, ensuring reliable access to vital information.
